Western Pleasure

Katie Chambers

Katie Chambers has been riding, training and showing horses since she was 7 years old. With over 15 years experience she has shown the APHA and AQHA breed cicuits as well as many open show circuits. She is experienced in both Western and English Disciplines. Her skills and knowledge involve a wide range of categories in the horse industry including Horsemanship, Equitation, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Showmanship, Driving and Gymkhana. She has multiple state and nationwide titles in many associations. As well as showing, Katie has had a number of years instructing and encouraging riders to become better horsemen and women; and teaching a wide range of ages and skill levels from beginners to advanced.
 
Starting out and progressing in this industry, Katie has worked for and ridden under many talented members of the "horse world."  Many years of cleaning stalls and grooming horses gives her a strong work ethic. She rode under Patty McCartin of Patty McCartin Show Horses in Willard, OH for most of her youth years. Also involved in breeding, Katie was assistant to the barn manager of DeGraff Stables in Port Clinton, OH where they stood some very well known AQHA and APHA stallions; including, Indian Artifacts, One Hot Crymson, and HBF Iron Man. Along the way, she has also worked for a private equine rescue and many local barns in Ohio. 
 
She also rode on the Varsity Western Equestrian Team at Findlay University. September 2007 to November 2008 she was assistant trainer at Turning Point Equine Center in Roachdale, IN. This facility trained many different breeds from Arabians to Warmblood sport horses.
