Katie Chambers has been riding, training and showing horses since she was
7 years old. With over 15 years experience she has shown the APHA and
AQHA breed cicuits as well as many open show circuits. She is
experienced in both Western and English Disciplines. Her skills and
knowledge involve a wide range of categories in the horse industry
including Horsemanship, Equitation, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under
Saddle, Showmanship, Driving and Gymkhana. She has multiple state and
nationwide titles in many associations. As well as showing, Katie has
had a number of years instructing and encouraging riders to become
better horsemen and women; and teaching a wide range of ages and skill
levels from beginners to advanced. Starting out and progressing in this industry, Katie has worked for and ridden under many talented members of the "horse world." Many years of cleaning stalls and grooming horses gives her a strong work ethic. She rode under Patty McCartin of Patty McCartin Show Horses in Willard, OH for most of her youth years. Also involved in breeding, Katie was assistant to the barn manager of DeGraff Stables in Port Clinton, OH where they stood some very well known AQHA and APHA stallions; including, Indian Artifacts, One Hot Crymson, and HBF Iron Man. Along the way, she has also worked for a private equine rescue and many local barns in Ohio. |
She also rode on the Varsity Western Equestrian Team at Findlay
University. September 2007 to November 2008 she was assistant trainer at
Turning Point Equine Center in Roachdale, IN. This facility trained many
different breeds from Arabians to Warmblood sport horses.
